People urged to discourage professional beggars

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari issued an important message to the general public regarding the security of markets and professional beggars on the occasion of Eid.
In his message, he stated that the Islamabad Capital Police’s top priority is to protect the lives, property, and dignity of the public. Citizens are urged to discourage the professional beggars and not to give their charity to beggars and instead, give the charity and financial assistance to relief organizations.
He further said that, citizens should report information about professional beggars on the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or via the “ICT-15” app.
Similarly, if there are any issues during shopping in commercial centers and markets that harass you or pose security concerns, citizens should inform the police immediately, he added.
At the end, he said that, special teams of Islamabad Capital Police are deployed in commercial centers and markets to ensure the safety of citizens.
Protection of citizens’ lives and property is the utmost priority of Islamabad Capital Police.
