Karachi: Pakistan Heart Association (PHA) in collaboration with Pakistan Safety Council (PSC) organized a webinar and held training Sessions with an aim to highlight the importance of health for a healthy society to observed World First Aid Day.
Like other parts of the world including Pakistan, to promote the importance of first aid training in preventing injuries and saving lives. Pakistan Heart Association and Pakistan Safety Council provided first aid that can make the difference in everyday crises.
First aid used to be recognized as the domain of medical and paramedical personnel. Today, all experts recognize that even the layman must be trained in first aid because it is effective in saving lives, improving the chances of survival and minimizing the consequences of a road crash or heart attack.
Rahim Anwar Ali, an expert on Health and Safety, participated in the Webinar being held in accordance with World First Aid Day. The speaker explained difference between Cardiac Arrest and Heart Attack and also shared measures for preventing lethality.
The Online Session was mainly consist of Questions and Answers discussion that lasted for over 2 hours.
World First Aid Day is celebrated every year on the second Saturday of September. This year, World First Aid Day 2022 falls on 10 September 2022 and celebrated under the theme ‘Lifelong First Aid’.
The day is recognized worldwide to promote the significance of first aid, which is an important fundamental skill, and create awareness on a global level about how it can save precious lives.
