Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has hired an Australian trainer Daniel Berry to improve national players’ conditioning, agility, and speed.
According to PHF President Brig (R) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar, Berry will arrive next month and will work with national, junior, and under-16 teams.
“Daniel is one of the world’s top trainers and his presence in the past has also enhanced players’ fitness,” said PHF President.
“He will not just train players but he will also identify those who will be a great prospect for Pakistan in the future,” he added.
He further revealed that Daniel will also train local trainers and he will join the Pakistan team’s camp before traveling for Junior Asia Cup.
It must be noted that Daniel worked with PHF from April to September 2018. He resigned from the post after the departure of Dutch coach Roelant Oltmans.
