Karachi: President Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar revealed that they are seeking NOC from the government for the Junior Hockey World Cup in India.
The 12th Junior Hockey World Cup is scheduled in India from November 24 to December 5. Pakistan got direct qualification to the mega event after Junior Asia Cup was postponed due to COVID-19. The other three teams include India, Malaysia and Korea.
“There are positive signals from India’s Hockey Federation regarding the participation of Pakistan. We are in constant touch with them and there will be no problem in traveling to India,” Khokar said.
On the other hand, Khokhar hailed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for the betterment of sports in the country. He opined it is not ideal to criticize his vision and believes that it can bring better results.
