Philippine President to visit China

BEIJING: At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of the Republic of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. will pay a state visit to China from Jan. 3 to 5, 2023, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced on Friday. President Marcos will be the first foreign head of state to be hosted by China in 2023.
This visit is his first visit to China as president and his first official visit to a country outside the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which fully demonstrates the great importance China and the Philippines attach to bilateral relations, spokesperson told. –Agencies
