Pickpocketing gang busted, cash worth Rs1.1m recovered

ISLAMABAD: Shahzad Town police station team arrested a two-member gang allegedly involved in pickpocketing and theft incidents and recovered stolen local and foreign currency worth Rs. 1.1 million from their possession.
The arrested accused were identified as Arif and Faqir. The accused allegedly stole cash from a victim while he was returning after exchanging money at a money changer. Upon receiving information about the incident, Shahzad Town police station registered a case and immediately launched an investigation.
Using modern technical resources, CCTV footages, and human resources, the police team collected evidence and, after sustained efforts, arrested both accused within a short period. The stolen local and foreign currency was also recovered from their possession.
