PM pays tribute to Sowar Muhammad Hussain on his 54th martyrdom anniversary

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid tribute to Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) on his 54th martyrdom anniversary, appreciating his bravery during the 1971 war.

The prime minister, in a message on the anniversary, called Sowar Hussain Shaheed a valiant son of the soil who had shown extraordinary courage during the 1971 war to safeguard the motherland.

“Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed’s gallantry and unparalleled bravery in the Zafarwal-Shakargarh sector in 1971 filled the entire nation with everlasting pride. It is because of such heroic sons that Pakistan’s defence remains invincible,” the prime minister stated.

He said that by thwarting the cowardly enemy’s assault with exceptional skills and strategy, Sowar Hussain Shaheed turned the tide of the battlefield and etched his name in history.

The prime minister said that Sowar Hussain Shaheed and all other brave sons who embraced martyrdom for the motherland are an eternal pride of the nation. –Agencies
