ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday had a productive telephone conversation with candidate for the position of UN Secretary-General, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett.
In message on his official X wall, the prime minister said had reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for a stronger, more effective United Nations and the centrality of multilateralism in addressing today’s global challenges.
“I appreciate her kind words acknowledging Pakistan’s contributions to the UN and our efforts to promote regional peace and stability,” PM Shehbaz Sharif said. –Agencies
