ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Monday summoned a meeting of the National Security Commit-tee (NSC) today (Tuesday).
The meeting, called at 3pm at the PM House under the chairmanship of PM Shehbaz, will deliberate the country’s law and order situation amid a prevailing deadlock between the PTI and the PDM-led government.
The participants will be briefed about the country-wide violent protests, especially attacks on security installations, carried out by the PTI after PTI chief Imran Khan’s arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.
Earlier, in the wake of the ongoing turmoil in the country, PM Shehbaz had postponed the NSC and called a meeting of the federal cabinet instead. –Agencies
