ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has summoned an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee. The meeting is scheduled to take place today (Friday) at the prime minister house in Islamabad.
The meeting will bring together the military and civil leadership to discuss critical national security is-sues.
The PM himself will preside over the meeting and review the current security situation in the country.
This high-level meeting comes at a time when Pakistan faces a range of security challenges, including terrorism, border conflicts, and regional instability.
With tensions on the rise, the National Security Committee is taking action to ensure the safety and security of the country and its citizens. The summon comes a day after the hard-hitting statement by the military’s media wing, where it termed May 9, the day clashes and protests ensued, a ‘black chapter in history’.
While PTI said attempts to crush the country’s largest party and its leadership developed bitter feelings among people that the state had been ignoring. According to the PTI, the declaration is a sad collection of hate and revenge-based narratives against Pakistan’s most trusted and largest political party. The PTI said Tehreek-e-Insaaf believed that individ-uals and institutions were equally bound to obey the law.
