ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement (GYM) has launched a four-day training program on Climate Action Education Curriculum and Digital Learning Portal at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
The initiative is a collaboration with British Council Pakistan. Ms. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director National Academy for Higher Education-HEC, attended the event as chief guest. She emphasized the importance of equipping youth with knowledge and skills to address climate change.
The training aims to empower GYM focal persons and oversight committee members with advanced knowledge and practical skills in climate action education. This will enable them to effectively implement environmental initiatives in their universities.
The initiative seeks to create a robust network of informed and proactive youth dedicated to combating climate change. By cascading the training to Green Youth Movement clubs nationwide, GYM aims to promote a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The training program covers topics such as climate action education curriculum, digital learning portal, and innovative approaches to sustainable development. Participants will gain hands-on experience in developing effective environmental initiatives and projects.
The launch of this training program demonstrates the government’s commitment to addressing climate change and promoting youth-led initiatives.
