ISLAMABAD: On the special instructions of Chairman POF Board Lt Gen Bilal Akbar, HI(M),the Public Relations Department of POF and Ordnance Club Wah Cantt organized a week long activities in connection with Birth Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad
Ali Jinnah. 1st function of this week was a lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Tamgha Imtiaz at Ordnance Club Wah Cantt on the subject of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad
Ali Jinnah. Mr. Abdul Aziz Sheikh DICR and Member POF Board was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Tamgha Imtiaz highlighted the various aspects of the life of Quaide- Azam and his continuous struggle for creation of Pakistan. At the end of the lecture, participants raised various questions. Mr. Muhammad Taufeeq, Dy Dir IT presented his book namely “Wah ki Tehzeeb aur Fanoone Latifa” to the guest speaker while Mr.Abdul Aziz Sheikh DICR and Member POF Board presented him POF Shield on behalf of Chairman POF Board. 2nd event of week celebrations is a Book Fair which has been arranged at Ordnance Club Wah Cantt in which books on the Quaid-e-Azam has also been displayed. Mr. Muhammad Arshad MPC and Member POF Board inaugurated this book fair early this morning at Ordnance Club Wah Cantt. It will continue for two days upto 29th December’2019. Prominent publishers of the country including National Book Foundation have displayed their stalls in this exhibition where books are being provided on discounted rates. Public of Wah Cantt and surrounding areas have appreciated for holding this book fair and took keen interest in the books displayed at stalls. 3rd event of this week long celebrations would be a Mushaira titled of “Nazr-e-Quaid” to be held at Ordnance Club Wah Cantt. on 7th January’2020 in which prominent poets of the country including Mr. Iftikhar Arif, Dr. Ihsan Akbar, Prof. Jalil Aali & Dr. Inam ul Haq Javed will participate. The last event of this week celebrations would be a pictorial exhibition on Quaid-e-Azam which will be held at Ordnance Club Wah Cantt from 8 to 9
January’2020.
