Police foil terror bid in Quetta

QUETTA: Police have successfully thwarted a sabotage attempt in Naseerabad, recovering 8 kilograms of explosive material.
SSP Ghulam Sarwar stated that the explosive were hidden in the bushes near Pat Feeder Bridge, Jhakkar Mohalla, within the jurisdiction of City Police Station.
He further revealed that the explosive were intended for a terrorist attack on Pakistan Day (March 23).
Investigations into the incident are now underway.
This foiled bid comes in the wake of the Jaffar Express bombing, tragic attack that shook the country. In January 2024, powerful explosion targeted the passenger train near Mach, claiming several lives band leaving many injured. –Agencies
