‘Police to address public issues on priority basis’

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have been addressing the public issues on priority basis and taking steps to facilitate the citizens.
It was stated by SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer while addressing an `Open Kutcheri’ at F-10. Additional SP Islamabad Farhat Abbas Kazmi, SP (Saddar) Amjad Farooq Butter, SP (City) Rana Abdul Wahab, SDPOs, SHOs and notables of the area were also present on the occasion.

Following the orders of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, officials of Islamabad police are organizing `Open Kutchries’ in the city and taking steps to resolve public issues.
During the interaction, the SSP listened the problems of the people and gave directions to immediately resolve them. Mustafa Tanweer said that, “Public is our boss and we are their servants”. He said all the officials of Islamabad police have strictly been directed to listen public complaints and resolve them as a priority.
He said, “We are working day and night for public. Our jawaan recieved 11 bullets but arrested the dacoits”. A large number citizens visited the hospital to see him for which we are very grateful, said the SSP further.

He was of the view that public cooperation is vital for effective policing and crime can be controlled through involving community in policing affairs.
SSP (Operations) said that Islamabad police is committed to provide justice to people at their door step as per vision of IGP Islamabad. He said that every possible effort would be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.
SSP (Operations) said that citizens have also hailed this `open door’ policy of Islamabad police which is definitely helping to increase the confidence of people on police.
