Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the whole budget session was an insult to the people. He said that due to the role of the government and the attitude of the speaker, what should have happened did not happen. According to him, the opposition was deprived of its rights, and the opposition even could not record its votes. He said, People do not want a lecture on history or Islamic history from Imran Khan and what happens in different parts of the world. While pointing to the Prime Minister he said, you have to give a three-year record, you are lecturing us, and you are trying to fool the nation. Chairman PPP said that every step made by the government is benefiting the rich not the poor. Bilawal also busted on his former allies and current political rivals President PML-N Shehbaz Sharif and JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-Ur-Rehman for absenting the budget meeting of National Assembly. Chairman PPP condemned the physical attack on the opposition Leader during his speech at the national Assembly which was witnessed by the entire country. According to him, every member has the right to represent his/her constituency whether they voted for a budget for progress or destruction. The anger of Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is fairly genuine because recent budget sessions of the national Assembly was really a test time for the opposition parties. The government benches did not let the opposition comment on the budget proposals presented by the government for discussion. Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif was physically attacked and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari himself was bullied during his budget speech. Apparently, the government aimed to get budget documents passed from the house, and for that end intimidation and exploitative tactics were used to puzzle the opposition. However, Chairman PPP must recall his memory a few months back when PDM was alive and the PTI government was most worried about its future. The Federal Ministers were inviting the opposition for dialogue whereas now the opposition is divided, and the government is aiming at all parties one by one. So, there is a lesson for opposition that unity is strength. Opposition has sufficient time and means to give a tough time to the government if they sit together again. Otherwise, opposition leaders would be mourning for the government’s injustices and bullying behavior for the remaining two years.
