The initiative, implemented in collaboration with partner organizations, has disbursed loans worth 1.2 billion rupees to ultra-poor households across the country.
According to an official source, the program aims to enhance financial inclusion, create sustainable livelihoods, and empower economically marginalized segments of society.
This effort is expected to improve the economic conditions of beneficiaries by enabling them to earn better incomes, support their families, and achieve self-reliance.
The government remains steadfast in its mission to promote financial stability and reduce poverty nationwide.
The Interest Free Loan Programme is one of the major components of the National Poverty Graduation Initiative financed by the Government of Pakistan. The programme that feeds into PPAF’s overall approach to poverty graduation approach provides interest-free loans to the target population through the loan centers.
The programme is being implemented in more than 100 districts in provinces/regions including Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces and three regions namely Islamabad Capital Territory, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
