PPP chairman demands production orders for MNA Wazir

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari demanded that National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser issue production orders for MNA Ali Wazir.

During a news conference, Bilawal said Ali Wazir’s production orders should be issued so he could attend Friday’s session of the National Assembly.

“The speaker of the House needs to explain himself why no notice was sent to us. How is it that a member of the House was arrested? The speaker needs to explain himself.”

An anti-terrorism court granted eight-day physical remand of MNA Ali Wazir to Counter Terrorism Department officials in a case pertaining to the recent clash between Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) and security forces.
