Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman has said that deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif has “always sided with the ‘establishment’ to stab us in the back and there is no chance of reconciliation with him”, media reported.
The PPP stalwart remarked while addressing a gathering on the 39th death anniversary of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is not the only ruling party but also serves as opposition as well,” Zardari said, adding, “How can Nawaz criticise the government when the country’s prime minister and president are both their own.”
He went on to say that Nawaz has turned a blind eye to us and now we shall return the favour in kind. “Very soon the PPP will enter Punjab and topple his [Nawaz] stronghold in Punjab.”
We will ensure that Nawaz leaves politics once and for all, Zardari added.
“I can topple the government whenever I want and this time I made sure that the Senate chairman is not from the PML-N,” the PPP leader said..
“We’ll see if we want to make a coalition government but we won’t sit down with the PML-N,” he added.
