PPP to form next govt, says Zardari

NAWABSHAH: Pakistan Peoples Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said the his party will form next government after the elections.
He expressed these views while talking to party leaders hailing from Qazi Ahmed and Sakrand, a small town in Shaheed Benazirabad district.
Ghulam Qadir Chandio, Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Aftab Anad, Ghulam Shah Leghari, Tariq Arain, Nasir Shah, Ali Hasan Zardari, Munawar Wasan, Ashiq Zardari and others were present during the meeting. The former president considered the suggestions and strategies of the activists and the workers. “The Pakistan Peoples Party will form the next government in the country and the party leadership has been accepting every challenge,” he said.
Every worker of the party is determined to form a people’s government in the country, Zardari added. Meanwhile, An accountability court in Islamabad has issued notices to PPP Co Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and others to appear in court in Park Lane reference. Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir conducted hearing of the Park Lane reference against former president Asif Ali Zardari and others.
As the proceedings started, defence counsel Arshad Tabraiz took the stance that at the time of agreement Asif Zardari was not the director of Park Lane. The court said notices were being issued to respondents and rest of the details about the case could be produced later.
The court issued notices to Zardari and 18 other accused directing them to appear in court. Other accused in the case are Muhammad Iqbal, Younas Qidwai, Iqbal Khan Noori, Hussain Lawai, Abdul Ghani Majeed, Khawaja Anwar Majeed and M Farooq Abdullah. –Agencies
