SHANGHAI: Preparation for the 10th China Flower Expo (CFE) is in the final stage, the press office of Chongming District in Shanghai announced Tuesday.
More than 1,000 flower varieties have been selected for the expo, including taro varieties with colorful leaves, Chinese rose, and peony.
So far, more than 9 million pots of high-quality flowers have been reserved, and 957,000 square meters of land has been leveled, according to the organizers.
An intelligent greenhouse, an important supporting facility for the expo, has also been partially opened and has already housed over 50,000 pots of hydrangeas and 1,000 Chinese roses. –Agencies
