Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on Monday Prime Minister of the country Ulukbek Maripov.
According to the Kyrgyz president’s press service, the objectives of urgent anti-crisis measures to restore the economy, measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the key areas of medium-term development of the country and the basic structural reforms in the economy were discussed.
The head of state emphasized that the domestic economy is currently in an extremely difficult situation and therefore stressed the need to urgently adopt a comprehensive anti-crisis plan of the government to support the economy.
The president stressed the need to ensure the freedom of entrepreneurs, to take personal control of the support and protection of the private sector and investors. He drew attention to increasing their confidence in the public authorities, creating a favorable investment climate in the country.
Sadyr Zhaparov also noted public concern about non-transparent use of resources in combating coronavirus infection, in this regard, emphasized the importance of ensuring targeted, open and efficient use of funds for these purposes. Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov noted that at the moment the government is taking measures to implement the tasks reflected in the first five decrees of the president.
He also added that a number of government decisions are being developed to support the business sector, investors and entrepreneurship in the country.
At the same time, the prime minister told about the ongoing work to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, replenishment of budget revenues and the prompt adoption of anti-crisis measures.
Earlier, Monarchs and heads of a number of countries sent their congratulations to Sadyr Zhaparov over his assumption of office as President of Kyrgyzstan his press service said.
