BEIJING: An article by Chinese President Xi Jinping on the history learning will be published Wednesday.
The article by Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be published in this year’s 12th issue of the Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee. Earlier, On Monday, China celebrates the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional festival observed to commemorate Qu Yuan, a well-known patriotic poet from ancient China. Qu wrote many poems that expressed his concern for the country and people, which have been cited by President Xi Jinping on multiple occasions.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, has stressed the virtue of patriotism many times. The following are some highlights of his remarks:
