Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted visits to various areas across the city during Eid-ul-Fitr. He inspected security arrangements at recreational locations and interacted with officers deployed at checkpoints.
He commended police officers for ensuring effective security measures and stated that due to Islamabad Police strong security strategy, no untoward incident occurred in the city.
He further added that the vigilance and dedication of police officers helped control hooliganism and one-wheeling.
He praised officers for remaining alert and performing their duties efficiently during Eid.
Strict checking continued at all entry and exit points of the city as part of enhanced security measures across the district, IGP said.
Meanwhile, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, along with SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq, personally reviewed all security arrangements.
Special police units were deployed around recreational spots, while Safe City cameras were used for effective monitoring. All major recreational areas in Islamabad were declared family parks during Eid.
All Islamabad Police patrolling units remained on high alert, and special traffic squads were deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow. Strict legal action was taken against motorcyclists involved in hooliganism and one-wheeling.
