Islamabad: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi the Islamabad Police continues its series of search and combing operations to curb crime and apprehend criminal elements in various areas of the capital.
In this regard, Islamabad Police teams conducted a grand search and combing operation in different areas of Noon police station during which 70 individuals, 74 houses, shops, hotels and 19 vehicles were thoroughly inspected.
Additionally, 08 suspicious individuals were also shifted to the police station during the search operation for verification purposes. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that the purpose of the search operation is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across the city. He further said that, search operations are being conducted in different areas of Islamabad and the capital police remains committed to taking indiscriminate action against criminals, land grabbers and drug dealers, he added.
Citizens are also urged to report any suspicious activity to the concerned police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” immediately.
