Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Friday started an inquiry against the Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas for continuous violations of the party.
According to details, PTI central leader senator Shibli Faraz strongly condemned the incident and expressed regret. “I cannot defend Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Tanveer Ilyas for using abusive language,” he added.
The Senate’s Opposition Leader and PTI leader Dr. Shahzad Waseem along with party leaders consulted on the matter. He said that every PTI activist and leader is ashamed of the words of Tanveer Ilyas.
“The law gives the journalist the right to ask tough questions,” Senator Shahzad Waseem said adding that stopping a journalist from asking questions is an illegal and unconstitutional act. According to PTI Senator Saifullah Niazi, the issue of abusing a journalist by Tanveer Ilyas will also be taken up in the Core Committee.
Reportedly, Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas could not answer a question put forward by a journalist and accused him of taking money from the Indian agency ‘RAW.
On February 8, after the Joint Session of Parliament, Geo News correspondent asked Sardar Tanveer Ilyas that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto did not attend the meeting called on Kashmir, so he held Geo News correspondent Haider Shirazi responsible.
The Journalist asked that “if the Parliament meeting was on Kashmir, the Prime Minister of Pakistan would not have come. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto was supposed to present the proposal, but he did not come. This is contrary to your claims.” The questions were not answered but Azad Kashmir’s Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer called at 2.30 pm and once again made baseless allegations and this time also abused.
Correspondent Geo News had sent questions to Sardar Tanveer Ilyas to provide proof of the allegations against him. Why did you abuse? And why ordered to snatch the mobile phone?
