FAISALABAD: Federal Minister for Communications Maulana Asad Mehmood on Sunday took a dig at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying the embat-tled party will be held accountable.
Addressing an event, Asad lamented, “The previous government had broken the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). However, our gov-ernment had reached an agreement with the international lender”. “Not a single initiative for the benefit of the country had been started under the PTI-led government. The inflation in the country was brought on by the PTI-led government”, he asserted.
“The journey we had started under the prime minister’s supervision turning out to be fruitful,” Asad commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. –Agencies
