Public trust true measure of police success: IGP

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a comprehensive and important meeting with all DDOs of police stations in Islamabad. During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the progress of ongoing development projects at police stations, along with the timely and transparent utilization of budgets.

IGP Islamabad directed the officers to ensure the completion of all development projects within the stipulated time and emphasized that any negligence or irregularity in the use of government resources would not be tolerated. On the occasion, he stated that the provision of effective, timely, and quality policing services to the public is the top priority of Islamabad Police. He stressed further strengthening the policing system through professional initiatives, improved planning, financial discipline, and transparency.
The IGP Islamabad also instructed officers to ensure the prompt resolution of public issues at the police station level, improve police conduct, and demonstrate courtesy and responsibility in dealings with citizens. He reiterated that the promotion of public trust is the true benchmark of police success. The meeting also included detailed deliberations on future strategies, encompassing enhancement of police station capacity, improvement of basic facilities, and administrative reforms in line with modern policing requirements.
IGP Islamabad made it clear that all officers must perform their duties with honesty, integrity, and professional dedication to make Islamabad Police a model, people friendly force. The objective of the meeting was to review ongoing development projects at police stations, availability of budget, proper utilization of funds, transparency in expenditures, and to formulate an effective strategy for improved delivery of police services to the public.
