Punjab on path towards prosperity, says Buzdar

LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that package of Rs360 billion has started a new era of development in the province.
During a meeting with provincial minister and others, Usman Buzdar said that his government has allocated separate development fund for every district. CM Punjab further said that now effects of this development are reaching every corner of the province.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood on Tuesday called on Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar to discuss organizational matters of party as well as over political situation of the country.
CM Punjab congratulated Shafqat Mahmood on appointment as PTI Punjab President. During the meeting, the federal minister lauded Usman Buzdar over completion of Abdul Sattar Edhi underpass in record time and said that the underpass will facilitate hundreds of thousands of people every day.
Usman Buzdar said that work on projects worth billions of rupees is underway for development of Lahore and government has set an example by reducing the cost of projects by millions of rupees.
While criticizing opposition, he said that future of those who rely on politics of lies is dark. They should know that masses cannot be served through empty promises, he added.
Moreover, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday inaugurated the Gulab Devi Underpass and announced to name it after Abdul Sattar Edhi. The full height three-lane underpass would ease the movement of 132000 plus vehicles while sixty million rupees had been saved through transparent tendering.
On the occasion, the CM said the facility would also benefit the patients of Gulab Devi, children, social security and General Hospital patients while accommodating the hundreds and thousands of citizens in their daily movement.
Federal Minister and PTI Punjab President Shafqat Mahmood, Provincial Ministers Murad Raas, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Asad Khokhar, Ejaz Alam, parliamentarians, PTI leaders, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Hasaan Khawar, IG Police, Commissioner and DC Lahore, secretary information and others were also present. Talking to the media, the CM said the Gulberg to Jail Road (Siddique Trade Center) flyover had also been named after poet Munir Niazi.
