SWABI: A judicial magistrate in Swabi on Tuesday handed over PTI leader Asad Qaiser to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in an alleged corruption case.
Qaiser, who is accused of corruption in the procurement of equipment for Gajju Khan Medical College, was arrested from Bani Gala, Islamabad, on Nov 3.
Since then, he remained in the federal capital’s police station but later shifted to Adiala jail.
Earlier on Monday, a local court granted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) one-day transit remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser in an alleged corruption case. Judicial magistrate Qudratullah handed over Qaiser to ACE Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on transit remand.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former speaker of the national assembly, Asad Qaiser, was arrested from Islamabad on Friday. As per the details garnered, the PTI leader was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from his residence. He is accused of corruption in the purchase of medical equipment for Gaju Khan Medical College, Swabi. –Agencies
