Qatar plans medical aid for Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek: Today, July 15 Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Ambassador of Qatar to Kyrgyzstan Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Sulaiti. According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service, during the meeting the sides exchanged views on the current situation in the countries amid spread of coronavirus infection and its negative socio-economic impact, measures of the two Governments and prospects for joint action to combat the spread of the virus.
Ambassador Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Sulaiti informed about the decision of the Government of Qatar to allocate humanitarian aid to the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as reaffirmed his country’s commitment to further support the country both in combating the virus and in implementing social projects.
Along with the issues of the Kyrgyz-Qatari bilateral cooperation and the prospects for implementing the agreements reached, the foreign minister and the ambassador also discussed interaction within international organizations.
