Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani says the international community “must assume its responsibilities to stop the famine and war in Gaza”, media reported.

During a media conference with the Egyptian foreign minister, Badr Abdelatty, Al Thani said the situation in Gaza was “shameful”.

“We don’t see any action from the international community,” he said.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Cairo is continuing efforts to put pressure for securing a ceasefire deal in the middle of “Israeli intransigence”.

He said “tireless” efforts between the two countries, in coordination with the US, were ongoing “to stop the genocide in Gaza and reach a deal”.
