‘Quit PCB or SNGPL’ Mani gives ultimatum to Misbah

Karachi: Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ehsan Mani has given an ultimatum to men’s team head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq to pick one post between working for the PCB or his department Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
While interacting with the media after the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting in Islamabad, Mani clarified that the 46-year-old has been told to part ways with his department.
“Misbah has to pick one job as you can’t draw salaries from both. All those having jobs with departments and also getting salaries from the PCB will have to pick one,” Mani said.
Misbah along with veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez and Test skipper Azhar Ali met with Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to revive the departmental cricket but PCB was unhappy who has summoned both of them on which Mani said. “The matter has already been referred to the disciplinary committee and action will be taken.”
