ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways is taking significant strides toward modernization with its Carriage Factory in Islamabad now fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi highlighted the progress during a media briefing, emphasizing the production of high-quality coaches built daily through a combination of skilled labor, technological innovation and rigorous quality control.
The minister said that the manufacturing of modern passenger coaches is ongoing, with a strong focus on passenger comfort and safety.
“At every stage of production, we ensure both quality and durability,” he said. “Our expert engineers and craftsmen are committed to delivering excellence in every detail.”
He said that each coach undergoes meticulous inspections using the latest tools and techniques.
From assembly to painting, modern methods are being employed to enhance both performance and aesthetics.
“These new, beautifully designed coaches are fast becoming a hallmark of Pakistan Railways,” he said.
“The Islamabad Carriage Factory is not just a manufacturing unit; it represents a vital step forward in the nation’s journey towards industrial and infrastructural advancement, he added”
Hanif Abbasi affirmed that the delivery of top-tier coaches will contribute significantly to a more efficient, comfortable, and safer travel experience — paving the way for a brighter future in Pakistan’s transport sector.
