Karachi: Former Pakistan batsman Ramiz Raja wants the 21-year-old Shadab Khan to bat up the order in the Pakistan cricket team.
Shadab, known as the current best leg-spinner for the green shirts in white-ball cricket has batted brilliantly in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five while leading Islamabad United. Ramiz’s comments came after his brilliant knock of 77 in just 42 balls against Peshawar Zalmi.
“I think the young lad should get chances up the order. Shadab is fearless and can act as a floater in the batting order,” the renowned commentator said on his Youtube channel.
He also said that Shadab can open the innings too. “We need to start experimenting in the batting order, I think Shadab has made a strong case for himself to bat up the order and he can open the innings too,” he added.
It must be noted that Shadab in PSL 5 has scored 251 runs with the help of three half-centuries in seven innings. – Agencies
