ISLAMABAD: Mehfil-e-Qull ( Prayer for the departed soul) of Jasim Khan, younger brother of Mr. Ma-khdoom Babar, President and Editor -in-Chief of The Daily Mail was held held here on Sunday evening.
Large number of people from different walks of life, including Army Generals, Senior Police Officers, Ambassadors, Journalists from Print and electronic media, members of Islamabad-based diplomatic community and seasoned politicians and members of City’s civic circles attended the prayer session and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul . Jasim Khan died of a sudden cardiac arrest last week at his residence of a sudden Cardiac arrest in Vancouver BC, Canada.
Meanwhile different civil and military bureaucrats, Journalists, Media bosses politicians and traders have sent their condolence messages to the grieved Editor-in-Chief over the tragic demise of his younger brother and have prayed for the departed soul and the grieving family members.
Those who condoled the tragic demise included Federal Information Minister, Federal Interior Minister, Federal Minister Petroleum, MNAs, Senators former and serving Generals and officers of all the three Armed Forces, Ambassadors and diplomats of different friendly countries, President of the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Pakistan Federal Union of journalists, Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists, National Press Club, Pakistan Photo Journalists Association, CPEC Media Forum and Pakistan China Journalists Association.
The Editor-in- Chief of The Daily Mail Mr. Makhdoom Babar has thanked all those who condoled the death of his beloved younger brother and stood by him and his family in this moment of utmost grief.
