RDU catches 4 snatchers, recovers arms & cash

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Police robbery and dacoity unit (RDU) police team arrested four wanted members of a snatcher gang involved in numerous snatching activities and recovered cash and weapons with ammunition used in crime from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city. Following these directions, a robbery and dacoity unit (RDU) police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending four wanted members of a snatcher gang involved in numerous snatching activities in various areas of the city. The accused were identified as Qamar Shahzad, Asad Ullah, Atif khan and Shoaib Ali. Police team also recovered cash and weapons with ammunition used in crime from their possession. Cases were registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.

He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, a robbery and dacoity unit (RDU) police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a house burglar gang involved in numerous criminal activities in various areas of the city. The accused was identified as Sahil. Police team also recovered cash and watches worth Rs 0.52 million from his possession. Case was registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
