A deadly attack was carryout by some unknown terrorists at a School in Kabul resulting in death of 50 innocent schoolgirls and wounded 100. According to the Afghan Ministry of Interior, the attack started with a car bomb explosion and was followed by two rocket attacks targeting the Syed-ul-Shudaha High School in District Dasht-e-Barchi of Kabul. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani blamed the Taliban for the attack. However, Taliban condemned the attack and denied their involvement in it and any other group has not claimed the responsibility for the blasts so far. As said, the targeted Sayed-ul-Shuhada high school was attended both by the boys and girls in three shifts and the terrorists targeted the girl shift in the afternoon. Majority of the victims are girls students. The attack has attracted worldwide condemnation including US, UN, and other countries denounced the attacks and urged for peaceful settlement of the Afghanistan problem. Pakistan foreign office strongly condemned the reprehensible attacks at the school in Kabul and expressed its solidarity and condolences to the government and the people of Afghanistan. Pakistan also displayed its resolve to continue its support to Afghanistan on its path to peace, progress, and prosperity. There is a sharp upsurge in the violence over the recent weeks as the United States headed to withdraw its troops from the war-torn Country. The Taliban has also intensified their attacks on Afghan forces in several areas including Ghazni, Bughlan, Herat, Badakhshan etc. There are several assumptions and prophecies regarding the ongoing violence and particularly attack on girls’ school in Kabul. Most people hinted the involvement of Taliban because they claimed to react against US delayed withdrawal. However, some analysts contradict this opinion because Taliban want US exit from Afghanistan although little delayed but any unprecedented violence could collapse their core objective, so Taliban are likely to continue their operations against Afghan forces instead of such violence. But some other elements can create such situation to hinder or obstruct US withdrawal for sake of their hidden interests. The factions whose interests lie in US presence in Afghanistan. However, situation of the country is worsening every day and the prime objective of the violence is to sabotage the US-Taliban deal and to keep the US involved in the country. United States is occupying the country over two decades and it has all the capabilities and resources to unearth the fact and motives behind rising violence in Afghanistan.
In fact, lengthy war in Afghanistan had created countless militant and criminal mercenary groups in the country. If Afghan government and Taliban did not act responsibly and failed to forge a mutually agreed government in the country this time, they would not be able to make it for years. The price for their failure will be paid by the Afghan nation.
