ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed, chairing a consultative meeting on Friday, announced to organize the annual Mahfil-e-Naat and National Seerat-un-Nabi Conference in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal.
He proposed the theme of conference ‘Scientific Strategy for National Economic Stability in the light of Seerat-e-Tayyaba’ scheduled to be held on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The minister emphasized the belief that solutions to contemporary societal issues could be addressed by seeking guidance in the light of the Prophet’s life and teachings.
Minister Aneeq further said the esteemed scholars and academics would be invited from across the nation to share their insights on the subject and its subtopics.
He said distinguished diplomats from various Muslim-majority countries would also be part and parcel of this annual feature.
He said to promote scholarly engagement, writers from around the country were encouraged to contribute articles on Seerat-un-Nabi, ensuring a rich literary resource for this subject.
The ministry would offer commendations and literary awards to the best male and female writers in recognition of their valuable contributions, he added.
Minister Aneeq disclosed that preparations for the conference were in full swing, and had issued various directives to make the event a success. The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials of the ministry, including Religious Affairs Secretary Aftab Akbar Durani, among others.
