ISLAMABAD: A farewell ceremony was held at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad in honor of Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Afzal.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Inspector General of pOlice (AIG) Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani as the chief guest, while DSP Headquarters and other police officers were also present on the occasion.
During the ceremony, AIG Logistics praised the services of the retired officer for the police department and said that retirement is part of the service. Whoever starts their service will eventually retire. You have served the police department for a long time and during the service we all should aim to do work that will bring us honor and be remembered for good character. We should pledge to perform as much public service as possible during our tenure to gain the pleasure of Allah.
He further added that you have spent a valuable part of your life serving the public through the police department and in return the department has given you respect, dignity and a place for which you should be thankful to Allah. He also mentioned that if you face any private or official issue my office is always open. On this occasion the retiring officer expressed his happiness for the honor he received. At the end of the ceremony the chief guest praised the services of the retired officer and presented him with an honorary police shield and extended best wishes for his future.
