Sydney: Australian fast bowler Kane Richardson has been tested negative of the coronavirus and is all set to return on the field, Cricket Australia confirmed on Twitter.
“Kane Richardson’s test for COVID-19 has come back negative and he is on his way to the ground,” Cricket Australia tweeted. Richardson, who returned from South Africa with the ODI squad this week, was quarantined following complaints of a mild sore throat. He was released from his hotel room quarantine to travel to the SCG to join the rest of the teammates for the opening ODI against New Zealand.
It must be noted that Australia defeated New Zealand by 71 runs in the first ODI of the three-match series. – Agencies
