Rizwan, Hasan promoted as PCB gives new Central Contracts

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced Central Contracts for its players for the year 2021-2022 on Friday.
Hasan Ali and Mohammad Rizwan have been awarded a promoted contract in the A category alongside Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Shahnawaz Dahani’s blissful performance in recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6 awarded him a contract in the Emerging category. Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been demoted from the B to C category.
Test specialist Azhar Ali has been demoted to B from the A category whilst Fawad Alam has got a contract in the B category for the first time since his comeback.
PCB has increased salaries of each category up to 25% whereas no increase in match fees in the first category. In the B category, the Test match fee increased by 15 percent, ODI match fee increased by 20 percent, and the T20I match fee increased by 25 percent whereas in the C category, 34 per cent increase in Test match fee, 50 per cent increase in ODI match fee, 67 per cent increase in T20I match fee.
The emerging category saw 15 percent increase in monthly salary; 34 percent increase in Test match fee, 50 percent increase in ODI match fee, 67 percent increase in T20I match fee.
