ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Humak station team successfully apprehended a two-member gang involved in multiple activities of robbery and street crime. The accused were identified as Muhammad Israr and Subhan Iqbal.
Police team also recovered two pistols used in the crimes, stolen cash, expensive mobile phones, and a laptop worth Rs. 1.2 million from their possession. The arrests were made as part of a broader crackdown on criminal elements in the capital, following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
During the Initial investigations, the accused confessed to being involved in numerous criminal activities including targeting pedestrians and shopkeepers at gunpoint. Multiple FIRs are already registered against them, and further investigation is underway. SSP Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan emphasized that Islamabad Police is fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and will not allow any criminal activity to disrupt public peace. He urged the public to report suspicious activity immediately to their nearest police station or via the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
