ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police distributed Rs1 million among 33 investigation officers to make the investigation process more transparent, merit-oriented and end corruption during the process.
The cost of investigation has been distributed among the investigation officers in a ceremony held at the office of the DIG (Operations). DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha among SSP Investigation Farhat Abbas Kazmi distributed the cheques of Rs 01 million among 33 investigation officers and this process will be continued in future as well. Rs 34.8 million were sanctioned as cost of investigation and Rs 34.55 million have been distributed among the investigation officers.
IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan said that the cost of investigation is being distributed among investigation officers timely and this process will be continued in future adding that initiative will help ensure transparency in the investigation process, end corruption and dispense justice to complainants.
He hoped that the investigation officers will work diligently on their cases after getting the required expenses. “There is zero tolerance on corruption and those officials involved in corrupt practices will be dealt with iron hands”, the IGP maintained.
The investigation officers will submit their bills and payment will be reimbursed to them after a verification process completed by SSP Investigation.
