Fatima Jinnah is the mother of nation, the sister and support system behind the founder of Pakistan, Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. But it is a shame that by omission and due to agendas of the old rulers of Pakistan, Fatima Jinnah’s life and ideology has been largely ignored in the studies portion. Her struggles against a dictator and her being the pioneer of civilian supremacy is not taught to the kids and no one to this day knows how she died with multiple conspiracy theories floating around.
Now a series on the life of Madar e Millat has been made and Samiya Mumtaz is one of the actresses whole will be playing the later part of Fatima Jinnah’s life. Samiya shared that she herself was not very familiar with Miss Jinnah’s life and it was through some research material that she was able to relate to the character. She also shared that in the light of political misery going on in Pakistan, they wanted to show all aspects about Fatima Jinnah’s story and did not want to present just one point of view.
