ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf on Wednesday welcomed the world-renowned Egyptian reciters who arrived in Pakistan. The reciters — Ayub Asif, Qari Taha Nomani, Qari Ibrahim Asif, Qari Maher Al-Shennawi, and Qari Ismail Asif — arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday.
Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said that the Pakistani nation has deep love and devotion for the Holy Quran, its reciters, and those who serve it. “The arrival of the Egyptian reciters in Pakistan is a source of joy and honour for the people of Pakistan,” he added. The minister said that the people of Pakistan would benefit from the soulful recitation of the world-renowned Egyptian reciters. The Egyptian reciters will participate in a grand Mehfil-e-Husn-e-Qiraat at Faisal Mosque, Islamabad, on September 5 after the Asr prayer.
The Mehfil-e-Husn-e-Qiraat will be open to the general public at Faisal Mosque. The gathering will serve as a means of promoting the message of the Holy Quran, love, and Islamic brotherhood, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs said.
