Search for missing twins in Yunnan ongoing

Dali Bai: More than 1,000 people were deployed on Wednesday in a search for 12-year-old twin brothers who went missing while herding sheep in Yunlong county six days ago, Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province. The twins went missing when herding the sheep on a mountain slope on Feb 4. There was still been no trace of the missing boys after Wednesday’s search, according to China News Service.
One of the boys was wearing a blue top, black pants and yellow shoes, and the other one was wearing a gray top, black pants and yellow shoes, according to the information disclosed by the Yunlong county authority. The boys were allegedly last seen heading towards the mountains. A villager said that the boys’ grandma lives in the Eryuan county, which is located at the other side of the mountain.
They need to cross the mountain, still covered by thick snow, if they want to go to their grandma’s house, but a government official said the boys did not arrive at their grandma’s house on that day, reported Jimu News, a news outlet in Hubei province. On Wednesday, 1,146 people, including members from government departments, fire departments, professional rescue teams, and local villagers, divided into 24 groups and dispatched in a search for the missing twins in 6 of the surrounding areas near where they went missing. Equipment including Drones, sniffer dogs and kayaks have been used in the search, according to China News Service.
