Search operation conducted in multiple areas

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Wednesday carried out a grand search and combing operation in various areas under the jurisdiction of Sihala, Noon, Shahzad Town, and Golra police stations to curb criminal activities and ensure public safety.
The operation was conducted under the special direction of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a broader crackdown against criminal elements and anti-social activities in the federal capital.


He said during the operation, a total of 608 individuals, 447 houses, hotels, 220 motorcycles, and 88 vehicles were checked. Additionally, 109 suspicious individuals were detained for verification, while 45 motorcycles and two vehicles were shifted to the concerned police stations for further inquiry. Moreover, six accused were arrested during the operation and narcotics along with illegal weapons with ammunition were recovered from their possession.
