Selena Gomez is facing a new legal fight over her mental health company Wondermind, but her lawyer has strongly rejected the claims against her.
The singer and actress was sued in Delaware along with her mother Mandy Teefey, former business partner Daniella Pierson and Wondermind.
The lawsuit was filed by investors who say they put almost $1.2 million into the company in 2022. They claim they were given the wrong idea about how well the business was doing.
The investors say they believed Wondermind had enough money, people and support to become a successful mental health company. They now claim that some promised business deals never happened and that a planned app was never made.
They are asking for their money back, along with extra damages and legal costs.
Selena’s lawyer, Mathew S. Rosengart, has completely denied that she did anything wrong.
He called the claims “completely meritless” and said Selena would “vigorously defend these false allegations”.
Her legal team is also asking the court to throw out the case.
Wondermind had already faced problems before the lawsuit. In 2025, the company reportedly let go of most of its small team after some workers said they had not been paid for weeks.
The new lawsuit now adds another problem for the company.
For Selena, however, the case is far from over. Her lawyers are preparing to fight the claims in court. –Agencies
