Seminar on E-commerce giant Amazon held

FAISALABAD: E-commerce has emerged as the most effective and affordable means of trade as corona has entirely changed the global economic scenario.
Addressing a seminar on American E-commerce giant Amazon, said Senior Vice President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Chaudhary Talat Mahmood said that this platform has 300 million active customers in 180 countries while unique user in America alone are 195 million which indicate the huge potential of E-commerce in this fast changing world.
He appreciated the efforts of Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce & Investment and said that he convinced Amazon to include Pakistan in its seller’s list. He said now the responsibility to get maximum benefit from this facility rests on Pakistani youth. He said that young entrepreneurs and start ups must launch their own businesses instead of running after the jobs. He said that they are not required to build large units as they could take a humble start from cottage, micro or small scale units. He quoted different examples of big industrial players who had started their businesses as SMEs. He also thanked the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) for organizing this training session in FCCI and said that it has targeted 20,000 entrepreneurs and will ensure that out of these at least ten thousands could start their businesses though Amazon. He said that these facilities will not only help young entrepreneurs to earn respectable living but also play their dynamic role in strengthening the national economy.
Assistant Director Rohail Nazir, Hafiz Kamran Ahmed, Urva Hassan, Adil Mukhtar and Assistant Manager Amir Khan gave in depth lectures and provided basic information to start successful businesses with Amazon. They told us about the four seller’s modules including procedure for registration with Amazon, product projection & account management, procedure for the payment and transport & logistics.
More than hundred participants physically attended this seminar while some also participated in it online.
Later a question answer session was also held.
