RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army Soldier, Sepoy Imran Khan martyred during exchange of fire with terrorists in North Waziristan, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement released Thursday.
“Terrorists fired at a military post in general area Mangrotai, North Waziristan District. Own troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location”, said ISPR.
However, the statement said, “during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Imran Khan age 30 years, resident of Jafarabad having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat. Area clearance was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area”.
Thursday, “On night 1/2 Jun 22, terrorists fired at a military post in general area Datta Khel, North Waziristan District”, ISPR had said, adding, “Own troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location”.
However, during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Hamid Ali (age 28 years, resident of Sargodha) having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat, the statement said. – ISPR
